What it is

Soft touch lamination combines a matte, non-reflective look with a velvet-like feel that makes packaging genuinely pleasant to hold. Limitations

  • — Soft touch film is more delicate and can show scuffs from rough handling
  • — Fingerprints and oils can leave marks on the surface
  • — Not ideal for heavy abuse or very high-volume shipping
  • — Laminated surfaces can be harder to recycle depending on local facilities

Production risks

  • — Scuffing or gloss spots from friction during packing and transit
